Seriously, if you work in the City or Canary Wharf then there is little more pleasant than walking down the Thames Path to work and back every day and then returning at night to a big warehouse conversion flat with the Thames sloshing around outside your windows. I did this for 11 years. My wife still considers the time we had together there to be the best times we had (before those pesky kids got in the way!).

Bear this in mind when you are squeezed into a tube carriage tomorrow morning!
