Other than a few insurances coming out each month, the internet and some food, my only real outgoing is my car payments and that will be paid off soon.

Once that's done, I'll be able to spend a greater % of my income of flying and that's something I enjoy. I don't spend loads getting drunk every weekend, don't need to buy new clothes all the time to keep up with the latest fashions and have got bored of spending loads of some fancy gadget that I'll use once and end up selling on eBay 6 months later for half the price.
Used to drive a bigger car but now my small Toyota suits me - cheap to run, easy to park and since most of my driving is around town, why do I need a 60k BMW that does 0-60mph in 3secs just because I'm earning 6 figures? It's just a "look at me" status symbol at the end of day to me now.
Being able to say "I've swam with whales, dived on the Great Barrier Reef, ran the Golden Gate Bridge, stood on top of the WTC, NYE in Sydney" etc. now seem more important that physical things that have less importance now than memories.

I prefer to see things and experience new places (not that TP runs allow you to do that much, but other flights and stopovers using the benefits do).

At the end of the day, I have no real ties like a wife and kids so I use my money to enjoy myself whilst trying not to blow it on rubbish that I don't need just because I can afford it. I'm prudent at times and other times I get overexcited by a bargain and splurge! For the most part though, I try not to overspend when something else does the same thing perfectly well.
