Hmmm ... last year's accounts tell me that in 2015 we spent 25.85% of our income on vacations [flights, lodging and car rental]. The last 12 calendar months is a bit worse at ~28%, with a bunch of forward bookings, but hey ... we're a long time dead, and doing it while we can.
Hard to be precise, of course. But then we don't have the outgoings you youngsters have, and as long as the 'domestic P&L' remains broadly neutral [after inflation] we're content.
