Welcome to Flyertalk and the BA forum, it's great to see you here, it's a great topic you've started, and I very much hope we will see more of you here. And indeed at Do's - there is one in London very soon as indicated in my sig. below. Everyone is very much welcome to that.

I think one I would make is that you have selected is per mile not particularly, cheap, the lowest CW fare from London is £1815 to Toronto. Chengdu - which is over 5,000 miles compared to 3,500 miles to Toronto - is about the same price.

I would also point out that London incomes are over 20% higher than the rest of the UK, if you live in Greater London I don't think you're in the top decile there, though I think you are in the top quintile. My own perception is that Toronto has a similar amount of business travel as JFK, there aren't many routes with in the same bracket as those cities - and certainly not CTU at the moment!
