That depends on your definition of afford? Can I afford it? Yes. Does it represent good value for money when I can get J tickets to the USA for under £1k from DUB? No. Secondly I don't live in that ghastly city so ex-LHR prices have never concerned myself.

I really couldn't give a flying who they are.
