Day #11
A last look from the room after wind settles - it hurts a bit that I've to leave.

Leaving Lochboisdale with heading to Oban (5h away), ticket is 12.60 GBP.

Low ceiling..

Oh, foggy weather, where've you been?

What's that? Damn too many buildings abeam!

Arriving in Obam was a bit shocking.. after all those days where you meet more or less 10 humans within one day you'll be overwhelmed with a city of 8000 citizens and as much tourists.

I am taking a bus to Glasgow. The ride is challenging like it was to Lochmaddy. Rain, fog and bumps. Also the driver seems to think he's some racedriver or so. As such, only one picture from Loch Lomond that's worth being shown

Arriving in Glasgow at Buchanan Station, I've about 1km to walk to my last hotel. Given the looks I must be looking like an alien with my dual backpack setup .

Finally reaching my place and having a look outside is SOOO different

Tried to go to a pub for dinner, but all the places are so crowded so I bug in.

Day #13
Shuttling to the airport, boarding a booked out plane. Too many people and I am somewhat depressed about it.
Layover in LHR to a leg that's at most half booked - thank you, Lufthansa. Enjoying a peaceful lift along the coast back to HAM.

Looking back

I might return to Outer Hebrides the other day, but likely I'd do it a bit earlier in the year (July/August instead August/September) to get a bit better weather.
Stay away if you plan to swim in ocean, looking for crowds or sunshine non-stop for two weeks.
Come here if you dont mind a drizzle or storms for a day while looking for otherwise peaceful and silent days with not many people to share.
Also be prepared to have some cultural shock on return .

If life allows, I'd like to spend my pension term up there.
