I once was staying at the Four Seasons in Las Vegas, which by the way is an outstaning hotel and quite inexpensive. As I ordered some sorbet from room service, I mentioned to the woman taking my order that I was debating whether I should have 1 order (2 scoops) or 2 orders, since she said the scoops were small. She said that if I'd like, she would send up 2 orders and if I didn't finish both of them, she would be glad to deduct one of them off the bill. Now that's service.

I was also impressed by how the ice cubes in the iced tea was made with iced tea.

I regularly dine at Seasons Restaurant at the Four Seasons Chicago. I consisently receive truly astounding service. Two memorable employees was a hispanic male in his early 30's and a woman in her 30's who is Singaporean.

However, I have received inconsistent service at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago. I've dined in several times in the Dining Room, the Café, and the Greenhouse. I always get good service at the Greenhouse. But the service in the Café leaves much to be desired.
