How family friendly is AA?

After the recent changes I was looking into other OW FFPs and the benefits they would offer. By doing this I have quickly noticed that many overseas FFPs are now offering family benefits that are completely missing in AA. For example, JAL offers Family Club - a membership organization for those of you living overseas that allows to pool miles together and offers different promotions. BA Executive Club allows for combining miles between family members. I think Qantas and a few other would let you to take a family leave (i.e., a break in the FFP) without loosing the status.
Even in USA, UA will give an annual companion Premier status for MM members. SPG will allow for transferring points for people with the same mailing address.
What about AA? Nothing except policy of bringing your family to the AAdmirals Club and a discount for a combined Club membership comes to mind.
There are several business reasons for family-friendly policies and it is about time for AA to implement some of those. This would be the real "innovation" in the FF program.

As a disclaimer, currently I am 3MM AA EXP and my wife is 2MM AA EXP. Thus, with equal benefits, I am not asking for immediate personal gains/new perks.
