I have visited the GNER web page again to try to book the one way tickets for 4 from York to London on Saturday Nov. 30th.

The problem is that everytime I select a certain train, it says that seats are not available. I think some weeks ago when I checked this the cheapest ticket it showed availability for was 96 GBP per ticket ( I believe this is unrestricted). It was a very time consuming process to manually check a train only to be told there are no seats. I was hoping there was a better way.

I have a pretty good idea as to when I will travel so I thought that I would check into the possibility of buying the 4 tickets in advance to save money but maybe I'm doing something wrong. Maybe if someone more familiar with RR ticketing could just assure me that it would cost no more to just walk up and buy the tickets, I wouldn't worry about it. Also, would I save money if when walking up I specified a return rather than a one way? Thanks again!
