I flew them for the first time today and got cold meals on both flights (that were once heated) and had to argue on my first connection that I did indeed order a special meal (because for some incomprehensible reason they decided to just load them unmarked on the normal trolley without noting who they're for). The bread was stale, there were no dressings for the salad and the meals themselves were pretty poor (pasta with two lumps of aubergine - no sauce...).
Maybe I was just unlucky, but perhaps proving BA's point, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
