I attended AC's Best New Restaurants event in Toronto last year. When my name was checked at the door to verify that I was on the invitation list, I was astonished to see a photograph of myself on the agent's iPad screen. I got only a quick look, but I think it was one scraped from my professional website.
So yes, AC does take a really personal interest in us all.
I think they have some sort of picture or description in their files. I have been recognized twice by staff at NRT (I am not there that often). As soon as I got to the boarding area, someone approached and said Mr Mendy.... I was surprised they recognized me by looks the first time, and it happened again a few days ago.
