I pretty much never want to stay at a HI and find a good 50% of CP's I have experienced to be pretty awful.
So if you don't acknowledge this in some way in the construction of the loyalty scheme you miss out a wide range of customers who would like to be loyal to IC as a brand but simply can't.
On any rational basis all other chains are a more consistent bet for frequent higher end travellers unless you are one of a very small number of travellers for whom the IC footprint works and continues to work throughout your travelling life. This is a pretty tenuous customer base to build from isn't it?
i don't disagree, i thought maybe if Kimpton was fully integrated it may augment that limited IC footprint.
i wld prefer to see them develop the IC brand, offer RA for spend, say USD10K PA, 60/40/3 IC nights or 30 stays, and give RA for life to those that have earned it for 10 years^
