Maybe it is an efficient beast?
Just back from seeing family in Denver, USA - a day of travel there and a day back. 12 days with them.
In the old days, five or six days across the Atlantic, two or three days on the train to Denver - just time for a quick drink and it would be back on the train/boat/train for home!
So an hour or two delay on long-haul - it is nothing!
