But couldn't you find something reasonable before August 1? For example, China seems to be on sale at AA. Look at NYC-Shanghai with Shaghai-LAX nested inside. Or maybe a few transcons.
Like NYC-PVG back-to-backs at apx $825 each RT end of June thru July 4th weekend, after that the fares jump to apx $1300 each RT. No thnks.
