Was this a free night for the same property which you had the bad stay and they are asking you to return at no cost, aka the voucher was from them and meant only for their property? This would be different from the BMG certs which is issued by Corporate. Corporate BMG certs are like blank payment vouchers and is just a form of payment. Free voucher from individual properties are likely a different creature.
