For what it's worth I have Zero Haliburton briefcase and it kicks some serious butt. Solidly built, with sturdy grab handle, does not tip over, plenty of room and good materials. My "one person" experience with Briggs stuff (and I had'em all...) is that their briefcase does NOT work out well for me. I don't know why but you check out the shoulder strap attachment points which are now made out of nylon rather than metal and the straps themselves don't have good hardware. And the bag is also not a one fabric piece (hard to explain). The front of the bag sits a little higher than the back of the bag - tips over when equally loaded with stuff inside.

I never bought their Torq line. So I don't know about that. But my experience with Briggs repair has always been local repairs in Pasadena, CA. You know, stuff like worn wheels or wobbly handle mechanism. But I do think Briggs rolling bags are built better than Tumi's.

Tumi, by the way, makes good briefcases. Most people buy their Alpha (and Alpha 2) line. And I think they are good. I do think however that the Alpha 2 carry on bags are a failure to to weight saving measures gone awry. The front bottom end "bows" down so much when loaded with stuff that the bag can't stand own its own. It looks like an obese man's gut hanging over the belt and eventually falling over....
