Gernerally agree although the I know my parents love to FaceTime with their grandchild before getting on a flight. They will be in a lounge and wouldn't have a clue if someone asked them to put in earphones. Generally it'll be a short call, couple of minutes max. If someone was that precious to tell them to keep quiet, I would be miffed. If it went on for more than a few minutes I would then tell them that's enough.
