When I was in Vegas with a large group of fellow gay men this past fall, a couple stayed at the Blue Moon. The rooms were nice but it's your typical "family resort". Clothing optional pool (cool pool though with jacuzzi in a cavelike setting). They had an "education room" they called which was basically a tv with a bunch of porn and white sheets on the furniture (not my cup o tea). The neighborhood was very industrial, nothing around but warehouse buildings.

Stick with the Strip.

We all went to a dance club called Gipsy. Not too bad if you're into dance clubs. Across the street was another pool/bar place (can't remember the name) that's suppose to be pretty fun.
