Cleanshaven men, IMO, look less masculine, more androgynous than those with beards/moustaches. Such deliberately feminized/castrated males strike me as narcissistic and dull, in sort of the same way as does a man with heavy cologne or a sing-song way of speaking.

However, I recognize that some men simply don't grow facial hair well, no matter what they do, and they are better off trying different things (like leather gear) than trying to grow facial hair. My facial hair has always grown in a flattering way, so I'm fortunate in that I can either grow it or not, depending on my mood.

Interesting that Droneklax suggests that bear bars are becoming more popular, since here in New York, their ranks have gradually dissipated over the last 10 years, not to be replaced, with perhaps one exception. I've heard mixed things about the fembot places like Therapy, which is a very lovely place, but I don't like it, nonetheless. SBNY (which was Splash) seems to be desperately trying everything it can to attract bigger crowds.

When the local economy picks up, it will be interesting to see what kinds of new places start up.
