to clarify my question - basically, i would prefer prepaid (so local sim) to avoid a situation where provider says something was/is not included with postpaid plan and charges hundreds / thousands

t mobile may not do this as much as other companies, and may be less now, but still recent 'horror stories'

maybe now it is only for data, which i dont necessarily need, but principle applies
