An alternative approach to noise and general hassle follows an experience of mine at FRA at the security check on a Friday afternoon. Cue frustrated passengers and gnashing of teeth. An elderly gentleman had a violin case and was asked to prove it was a genuine instrument. He responded by standing on a chair and playing perhaps 30-45 seconds of beautiful violin music. Everything stopped, people went quiet and started smiling. He concluded to applause and made everybody's day.
My solution - compulsory classical music at all airports
