Just like in your story, the security personnel was extremely dismissive, used the word "alleged," and refused to acknowledge that a "crime occurred" even though my room was clearly burglarized. Worst of all, hotel security informed me that they would not share the CCTV footage during the time of the robbery with the police unless they received a court-ordered subpoena!
I filed a police report immediately after that conversation with security, and am awaiting further follow-up -- hopefully the security director himself will be more helpful, but based on your story I'm not optimistic.
How'd your situation resolve itself and do you have any further advice?
I would hire a lawyer immediately if your budget can handle it - you should get a court order to turn over, not just the CCTV footage, but readout of the person whose keycard was used to open the door - that is the thief.
