Air Travel in Europe is so.... Silent

I have just experienced a new, restful kind of air travel - silent travel in Europe. European airports have no TSA security announcements, no CNN blaring overhead, hardly any boarding announcements, and little if any noise from passengers on their phones; in the waiting area passengers were reading! On the planes there are no ads, few announcements and no frigging Rhapsody in Blue playing over and over. It was amazing. I had not realized how noisy US travel is until this trip. Well done, Europe.
