Minor but still inconvenient flight time change
If you have a booking to go from A to B to C and the flight from B to C is changed not by a great deal but still significant to be of effect to you can you ask them to go from A to D to C with D being less distance, not out of the route.
Your origin and destinations are still the same.
Have had 3 answers to this.
1) you can only change flights that go via B which will mean going 24hrs earlier but overnight hotel not covered.
2) you can change flights to go via D
3) you can't change anything as the change is less than 2hrs.
Is causing a bif of grief for 6 people over 3 bookings.. some common sense and consistency is required.
Any ideas on what should be the SOP in these cases.
Also, if an option is suggested and allowed on one, that subsequently isn't allowed on another does can that be cited as setting a precident or can they just turn round and say we made a mistake and we are not going to make similar changes.
