Right. About 7 or 8 years ago on PMCO, we were stuck in BOS for hours on a flight to EWR with weather holds...actually boarded and deplaned several times. Late in the day, they announced we were going but the crew was soon going to time out so we had to board quickly....It wasn't three minutes, but it was fast with FA's literally running down the aisle slamming overhead luggage doors shut. We pulled out of the gate and shortly we were taxiing FAST down the runway in the wrong direction past a dozen planes lines up for take off. What the heck was going on? At the end of the runway, we did a 180, the pilot let it rip and we took off.....Then the pilot got on the intercom and said that the control tower did us and the crew a favor letting us bypass the line so we could get in the air before they timed out.
