[QUOTE=Seat 2A;26730336]THE TIMELINE FOR THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS IS MID-1992

6. In mid-1992, passengers desiring nonstop transport between Anchorage and Honolulu were limited to this once a week, Saturday only flight. Identify the airline and aircraft involved.

13. If you want to fly upon a DC-9-10 out of Phoenix, you’ll have to call this airline. Which airline is it?

30. If you want to fly aboard a Fokker 100 out of Winnipeg, you’ll have to do so with this airline on this route. Identify both.

6. My guess is Hawaiian Air. I think Hawaiian's DC-8s were gone by 1992, and their DC-10s had yet to arrive, so this would have been flown with an L-1011.

13. The flight was probably headed for Mexico, and my guess is it would have been flown by AeroCalifornia.

30. AA, YWG-ORD

Seat 2A, I'm glad you know where to find peace and quiet at ORD. It won't do any good, but I'll be sending a message to AA this week, asking them to turn the TVs off overnight. In my message, I'll be stressing that turning off the TVs isn't just beneficial to passengers; it's also beneficial to AA's gate agents, because if passengers stranded overnight are able to rest, they will be less likely to be verbally abusive to AA's customer contact employees.

The TVs were particularly irritating because it's election season, and there are few things more aggravating than having to listen to quotes from the press conference of a presidential candidate you despise, repeated once every ten minutes ALL ****ING NIGHT LONG!
