Just got back from a night at HR Kyoto and had a bit of a surprise at check-in yesterday. The welcome card in the room was signed by Miriam Varoli as General Manager. It would seem that she has replaced Ken Yokoyama, who had been GM of HR Kyoto for as long as I can remember.

Ms. Varoli was GM at HR Osaka, and was not there all that long; it seems like just a couple of years, or maybe 3, since I first saw her name on the welcome card there.

HR Kyoto and HR Osaka are very different types of properties, so this will be a change for Ms. Varoli, and I wonder if we'll be seeing many changes at Kyoto.
