I'm not sure if this is directly related, but they were definitely having IT issues yesterday in the middle of the day.
I was able to log in, and was trying to book a flight and it kept failing during the processing part. At one point it made me enter all of the information that it normally has in my profile and then told me that my skymiles number was invalid, even when I cut and pasted it from their own system!
For me, it said that my name and Skymiles account number did not match their records. Re-entered both and they were accepted...although I did check about three times that everything was correct on the reservation/ticket.
