I recently stayed at a paris hotel on rewards nights, it was holiday inn but a note on the wall of operating under someone else.

On check out they said there was a fee for Paris not covered by the reward booking, so many euro per night per person. Is that right? any other reward booking has covered the full cost of the stay. I didn't see any mention of it at the time of booking.

It wasn't a huge amount compared to the stay, just don't like being ripped off for no reason.
