My only point was that I would think that if it is so high demand time, they would not have points available. Personally, I think if points are available, P&C should be as well. There should not be discretion for the hotel to choose. Should be the same inventory...if you have a standard room and I can use points, let me use points plus cash. There is zero reason for not allowing that. Lord knows there are already enough ways the hotels ignore, manipulate and finagle their way around existing things in arbitrary ways.
