An AAdvantage customer service supervisor claims that the bonus miles apply to the fare class of the PNR and not the individual flight segments. Can someone clarify this as in the past I have had individual segment fare code used for this bonus? I didn't want to argue with her and she claims she was sure that was the rule.

For example, if you book a PNR that has the following flight segments:

Segment 1 - domestic flight - A fare code
Segment 2 - international flight (long haul) - I fare code
Segment 3 - international flight (long haul) - I fare code
Segment 4 - domestic flight - A fare code

that the domestic flights will only get the bonus as if they were booked in I and not A, if the entire PNR fare code was an I.
