i'd call the station a week then a day ahead and politely make clear that you want to drive what's in your class
this gives them the opportunity to set aside a car in your class that they don't want

but either way it's probably going to happen to you again,

so be ready for this phase again

but you are owed the class you booked

and if they roll their eyes during pu tell them you called x week(s)/days before and warned them

imo giving you a utilitarian van for a ow leisure rental (i assume you're leisure) is so flagrantly chintzy and low class, i'd be very angry if they tried that with me on a ow. i'd demand in class or at least try to get a free tank of fuel out of the pax van

one time i was given a minivan for this reason, it was actually a really fun and comfortable ride! my friends loved it
