You do not need to bring a blanket. The crew will provide you with more blankets if needed and there's always PLENTY in economy to use as padding. Pack something more useful for a trip down under.
Awesome, thanks for the info. Will hold off on an extra blanket (usual grab one form the feeder flight) but it saves me having to pack PJs....
Maybe I'll do a trip report, I'm also flying LATAM SYD-AKL on a B787 and AKL-SYD on an EK A380 codesahre with QF (should earn AA Miles). Keeping my fingers crossed....
