Bringing this topic back to life, as I am planning a trip to LV at the beginning of August. Any recommendations for gay friendly hotels (excluding the all gay resort mentioned earlier in this thread)? I'm leaning towards the Palms or Mandalay Bay, though my friend prefers the Hard Rock. Any thoughts on closeness to gay bars, other factors we should consider, etc? Also, does anyone know if it is possible and reasonably inexpensive to rent a car in LV and drop it off at LAX?
