We are a couple in early 40's planning to travel Europe via rail starting June 6- until June 30 2016.
This will be our first trip to Europe.
Interested in scenic journeys/ romantic locations.
Not interested too much in urban atmosphere/ museum
Here is sample itinerary :

June 7 USA- Vienna

June 8-9- Explore Vienna and surroundings.

June 9-11 Vienna-- Hallstatt

June 11-13 Hallstatt ---Salzburg

June 13-14 Salzburg- Innsbruck

June 14-15- Innsbruck - Lake Bled Slovenia

June 15-16 Lake Bled- Plitvice National park Croatia

June 17- June 25 Plitvice NP- Switzerland ( no bookings made for scenic trains yet)

June 25-27- Switzerland -- Venice

June 27- 30 Venice-- Paris

June 30- Fly back home from Paris.

Please advise/ suggest better options.
Not sure if all these are connected by Eurail.
Will prefer direct trains, less time traveling and more time exploring new countries.
Any other "must not miss" locations?
Thanks in advance.
Hi - remember that Eurail does not operate any trains itself- they are a pass system allowing journeys on national rail systems; for example the OSS in Austria. The coverage is very extensive.

For a start, on one of your Austria days, I would suggest a day trip to Bratislava, capital city of the Slovak Republic - fast train from Vienna takes less than one hour.
