Different itinerary

I have a flight from LAX-HND (1 night stop) - PVG. Arriving PVG Sunday @ 2pm. Wednesday @ 3:30pm I will fly to KUL. The flight to KUL is on a different itinerary. Will that be an issue for TWOV? This is for 1 adult and 1 child (4 yrs).
