Wonder how Red Oxx handles their warranty in terms of local repair or would the damaged product have to be sent to Billings?
Any idea about Tumi?
The shipping costs skyrocketed in January of 2015, when dimensional weights got factored in for UPS, and FedEx (a little earlier than that date).
The medium B&R Torq 26" spinner fits in a box that has an inner dimension of: 28x18x18 (for a standard box size you can get at the UPS Store), but the outside dimensions are rounded up to 29x19x19/166 makes that ship UPS at 64lbs.....
Tumi pays the freight both ways during the first year which is when 99.9% of true manufacturers defects will show up anyway. They take care of it if you bring it into a Tumi store regardless.
I don't know what Red Oxx does.
