If you are on separate tickets your onwards PNR is for a "solely North American flight" your other PNR is complete, whether it was 2hrs or 2 days ago.

Those with separate PNRs or tickets are not excluded by oneworld lounge access rules. As long as the stated requirements are met and the qualifying boarding pass is presented, access should be granted.
