Thanks jrl! I actually didn't know that. Since this thread is about success, I thought I'd share specifics. The itinerary I booked is available for $426 each. With the companion certificate, I paid $466 for two. In fairness, I had to settle for a different airport, but my reason for preferring CVG is that it offers direct flights, which I've been able to take advantage of in the past after a schedule change. Overall I'm satisfied with that, and would consider it a success.
