I know I can use Avios to book award flights, hotels and car hire. With a mountain of Avios, I'm looking at using some to book package holidays. I tried Search without success.

This page at avios.com - http://www.avios.com/gb/en_gb/spend/...?from=SpendNav - shows a reasonable number of package holiday companies for which I can get £50 value for every 10,000 Avios. Not the greatest value perhaps but it would reduce our exposure to Avios.

What is FTers' experience, if any? I'm thinking about the process* and whether offered prices are list or best (discounted?) available.

* To do this, I would need to call a ripoff 0844 number shown without any indication of the cost of doing so . This is almost certainly against the regulations, and I would use the number provided by www.saynoto0870.com , which is 01925 848619.
