re when they need to be sent to NY/CA centers, i would think many FTers would travel through/to those areas, reducing/eliminating shipping costs

How do you travel with a broken bag and deal with the time to bring it to one of those facilities? That would cost me more than the $129 for shipping the 26" size bags from the midwest.
