Flying EWR-HNL on UA award ticket (016 stock), then HNL-LIH on UA award ticket (016 stock). I had no issues doing this in 2013 (United Award & HA Revenue ticket) but I think some things have changed on Hawaiian's end since then? I hope since they are both 016 tickets that might make it easier to check all the way through from EWR to LIH.

Worst case, we have to spend time picking up the bags and pay the fees, which isn't the end of the world.
