Copa agent and supervisor spent about 20 minutes trying to force it all thru at check in today but they could not. Now we get to play the game of collect bags, immigration and customs with them, and check in again, then seat roulette! Pretty sigh.
Oh I failed to notice you're transiting the US. You have to go through immigration/bag collection/recheck because 'murica regardless of what the airline do. Even with bags tagged and BPs you'd still have to do this.
But stupid they can't at least get seat assignments.
