Based on what you've posted I'd highly recommend Savannah or Charleston. Good food/bars/music scene, southern charm, close by beaches. Similar to New Orleans except not nearly as much of a drunken sh--show. (still plenty of drinking opportunities, but none that in your face sloppy tourist vibe that you get on Bourbon street)
