Indeed. I just flew NK SEA-LAS last month because it was a $53 USD airfare. the pitch was tight, but my bag was small enough that I still had some leg room under the seat. I'll be doing U2 in a little over a month for HAM-AMS. I've done AB, FY and DD as well

For a short flight, an LCC is often OK.

Oh, and I got $50 in match play at the D Casino (near to where I was staying) courtesy of my NK boarding pass (2 $25 chips). Netted $25 on the gambling (two blackjack wagers, went 1-1), so in reality this was in effect a $28 plane ticket.
