I've been corresponding with BA via Twitter direct message about checking bags during our ex-EU.

As a case study example I have asked whether it is possible to fly from Dublin - Heathrow, check in a bag, and then fly to New York.

The social media team have advised me as below:

"I'm afraid checking bags in at any other time other than the beginning of your itinerary isn't permitted."

Is this true?
