Best plan for TPs? Thoughts?

Hi all, its that time again.. I need your views on a TP run.

I need 435TPs till January 8 2017. Although I will be doing some business travel, doubt it will be anywhere this level, so I am certain I will need a 'top-up'.

So my logic is as follows: Doing EU TP run (OSL-HEL etc..) will not give me enough TPs (or Avios for that matter, which I use to the max), therefore, US is the way to go. I can do 2xAGP via HEL but it will cost about the same as the US and dont quite fancy that trip anyway..

So, I am back to my regular LAS...

I can do DUB-LHR-LAX-LAS-LHR-DUB which will give me 420TPs and by the BA calculator, 31k Avios. (I am confident I can get 15 TPs with work to get to 435). I know I can get more TPs by doing JFK-PHX-LAS but not interested as the TPs will be wasted and don't need the hustle this time round (and want to try the 380)

Having said this, I would also consider a ran that gives me some time in NYC, but I cant see how to get this done and get the equivalent number of TPs. Are there any options anyone can suggest ? Do you think I should go ahead and book something now (I found the above using ILN4S4Z1 for travel over Labour day weekend Sep 3-5).

Last question: on an ex-DUB run, can I complete the last leg say 6 months later to use it as positioning for next year ?

All thoughts / ideas / eye-openers welcome !
