we went to southern africa in the summer of '00 . our first safari experiences were in botswana. 'several days at sandibi lodge then several days at a lodge outside of chobe. of all the places we traveled over three weeks we liked these places the best. botswana has made a commitment to low volume, high end tourism and poaching is punishable by death so the wildlife viewing can't be beat.
