A great place for breakfast is Dottie's True Blue Cafe on Jones St. (near O'Farrell) about 3 blocks from Union Square. It's packed on weekends, but the wait's short during the week. Not the place for those in a hurry. The owner does all the cooking and the menu states your order will be cooked when he's ready for it. The food is good, portions are generous, and prices are reasonable.
