Now you're confusing things I think. It seems to me it's not so much about saving a handful of Avios, but keeping nice clean, standard, active Iberia Plus accounts for when you need them. Zeroing out the IB+ accounts and leaving them empty for long stretches is the opposite of what you want to be doing.
